I’m going to let you in on a little secret. My Pizzazz is the best Christmas gift I have ever gotten. I’m going to tell you why with my Presto Pizzazz Review.
As an adult, I ran out of ideas for things I wanted for Christmas. The stuff I wished for I knew damn well weren’t things I could honestly ask for like cars, and house remodels, etc. I started asking for what I thought was the “boring stuff” like small kitchen appliances and tools.
Last Christmas I opened my brand new Presto Pizzazz. I was happy to get it, but I had no idea the joy it would bring me.
Let’s say that soggy crust, crust that is too crispy, nasty microwaved burritos, and a million more weak food choices are all a thing of the past for me thanks to my Pizzazz.
It is literally the best pizza oven on the face of this planet.
Why the Presto Pizzazz Is The Best Pizza Oven Ever
I opened up the box and thought to myself, “this is nice, but I probably won’t use it much.”
Man, I was wrong!.
If you are like me, you probably don’t cook much. It’s not that I hate cooking or that I can’t, I choose not to because it’s only my boyfriend and me in my house so what is the point of making big fancy meals.
The problem is that when I want a pizza or a burrito, I want it cooked right, not too soft, not too crunchy and that can be tricky with a traditional oven or microwave.
Ta Da! This is where the brilliant Pizzazz comes in.
There is something sacred about having your comfort food cooked just right.
For example, where I live there is one brand of chicken alfredo pizza that a few bars carry. It’s mindblowing pizza!
The problem is, when you buy it frozen and put it in the oven at home, it’s just not the same as when they put it in the pizza oven at the bar.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to have one of those big silver box pizza ovens taking up the valuable real estate on my counters.
The Presto Pizzazz cooks up my chicken alfredo pizza just like the bar oven and takes up a hell of a lot less space.
Thank goodness for that.
The Presto Pizzazz is small which is convenient for storage. When I’m not using it, I can hide it in the cupboard with my pots and pans – no ugly eyesore on the counter.
Now let’s talk about how it cooks, which is what makes it the best pizza oven ever.
This pizza oven cooks all of your favorite prepackaged foods without any food getting soggy and gross.
- Pizza
- Burritos
- Taquitos
- Pizza Rolls
- Chimichangas
- Corn Dogs
- Tater Tots
- French Fries
- Hot Pockets
- Garlic Cheese Bread

How to cook with the Pizzazz Pizza Oven
It is very basic. It has a round metal tray, three settings, and a timer. Throw your pizza on, set it to dual, and set your timer. Done.
Depending on how you like the crust done on your pizza your timing will vary.
I will be honest; the three settings on the Presto Pizzazz are lower, dual, and upper and I don’t think I have ever used anything but dual.
What I do:
- put my pizza on the tray
- plug in the Pizzazz Pizza Oven
- set the timer to 20 minutes.
Why do I plug it in after I put the pizza on?
When you plug in your Pizzazz, there is not an on/off switch other than the timer. As soon as it plugs in the fan turns on and the pan is spinning. The spinning isn’t always convenient, but it is made this way for a purpose.
For me, I put the setting on dual when I am cooking. This way it heats evenly on the top and bottom. I like my crust on the softer side, so that’s why I use this option.
If you want a crispier crust, you can cook on dual for the proper amount of time and then add lower for an extra few minutes to get your desired crisp.
How about a super soft crust? Cook it on dual for 2 minutes less than recommended and then switch to upper only.
Once the timer runs out, the heat shuts off, but the pizza pan keeps spinning. This way if we don’t take the pizza or item we are cooking off right away, it won’t sit under the heat and burn in one spot.
Cooking Other Foods
I have learned a few tips that I will share with you about cooking my other foods on the Pizzazz.
They don’t have to be in the center of the tray. Spread your items out; I promise they cook well even though they aren’t directly under the heating coil the whole time.
Ex: If you cook two corndogs, put them on opposite sides of the tray.
You’ve heard of the microwave trick where you put all of your food to the outside of the plate for more even cooking? Same thing.
Play with your timing. The Pizzazz Pizza Oven does come with general instructions on cook times, but I do not follow it. Change up your timing, and you will find the perfect cooking time to fit your liking.
Flip your burritos and the like, if you want. Some say that the top is exposed to more heat, so it cooks more evenly when you flip halfway through.
Overall Opinion
If the Presto Pizzazz is not on your Christmas list, it should be! Better yet, get it for yourself now rather than waiting and hoping. You can find it here.
I have no ill feelings about this pizza oven. It cooks my pizza perfectly. As a bonus, it cooks a ton of other foods too.
The only downside is the spinning as soon as you plug it in. Let me be honest, it does this for a reason, and I get why so I’m not going to complain about it.
Overall, I use my Pizzazz nearly every day, and I would say it is absolutely an essential kitchen tool. If I haven’t convinced you yet, get one for yourself here and let it speak for itself!
